Apartment W, Berlin
The clients are a newly wedded couple who need more storage space and a fresh character of home for the new life living together. The design idea is to activate the long wall of the living room into a multifunctional feature—seamlessly integrating bookshelves, concealed storage, a work area, and a drinks corner.
A custom 2.7 m–tall cabinet houses two pocket-door systems, revealing functional “nooks” as needed. By day, one nook becomes a compact home office; by night, the other turns into a welcoming spot for entertaining with drinks. When closed, the doors conceal these spaces completely, restoring a calm, uncluttered aesthetic to the room.
